JoAnn Rhodes - Rausch Funeral Homes (2024)

JoAnn Rhodes, 55, passed away peacefully on June 14, 2024, in Baltimore, MD. Born on January 27, 1969, in Covington, VA, JoAnn was a cherished wife, mother, sister, daughter, and friend whose nurturing nature and caring spirit touched the lives of all who knew her.

She leaves behind a loving family: her devoted husband, William Rhodes; her children, Tucker and Rebecca Rhodes; her brothers, Michael and Billy; her sister, Deanna; and her parents. JoAnn’s memory will also be treasured by her adored fur babies, Waffles, Hamilton, and Daisy. Her faithful dog, Moose, whose companionship was a source of great joy, preceded her in death.

Family and friends are invited to gather for visitation at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, June 24, 2024, at Rausch Funeral Home, located at 4405 Broomes Island Road in Port Republic, MD. A service to honor JoAnn’s life will follow at 2:00 p.m.

The Rhodes family respectfully requests that in place of flowers, donations be made to the Tunnels to Towers Foundation, a cause close to JoAnn’s heart. Contributions can be made at T2T.org.

The family extends heartfelt gratitude for the outpouring of love and support during this time of remembrance.

My sincerest condolences are extended to the Rhodes family. This is a great loss of a great woman, wife, mother, sister, colleague and friend. Jo was a wonderful and nurturing woman with a big heart. Her kindness was very uplifting from day to day. She was my office neighbor on the fourth floor of ACS. We worked together, laughed together, shared how proud we were of our children, showed pictures, talked about sports, her new hobby building legos, and brought tasty pasta recipes into the office to eat. Her thoughtfulness was amazing. I know how much she loved her family – the furry ones included. She also cared about her friends and everyone she encountered. Thanks for sharing Jo with us. She will be missed and your family are in my prayers.

Bill, Tucker, Becca I am so sorry you all have to go through this heartache. Joann was a great woman and loved to venture with her family and friends. I am so glad I was in her life and part of her wedding party when she married Bill. The fun times we had at the house in Wicomico Shores, playing cards, parties and running around to different places for the holidays and celebrations we had, the kids had so much fun together growing up and that time is so cherished with you all. Your family is in my prayers and I am here if you need me for anything.
