4oixz why they switch it up bruh and some kids be the villain now Rated 0.5/5 Stars • Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 05/11/23 Full Review Liam D It's more of a Crime Thriller and A much more darker movie in the franchise but it still has great action sequences and Jackie Chan (Mr. Nice Guy, Who Am I?) still kicking butt Rated 3.5/5 Stars • Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 12/29/22 Full Review carlos t Minha opinião: Desde do ínicio do ano 2000 Jackie Chan se concentrou em filmes mais ao estilo drama, saindo de estilo que o colocou no estrelato que foi #humor com #ação e #lutas Ele partiu mais para o estilo de pessoa depressiva, suicida. Vale apena assistir? SimNota: 7 Rated 3.5/5 Stars • Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 03/30/23 Full Review Audience Member New Police Story has the dubious honor of being the fifth entry in the legendary Hong Kong action comedy series. What begins as Darker and Edgier reboot of the Police Story series (which had taken a campy, spy flick turn in its third and fourth outings), ends up being hammier and sappier in the final acts. While the action is great, New Police Story misses the mark and loses the charm of its predecessors. While it's gritty story is more inline with the first two films, its setting and cinematography feels more akin to First Strike. The video game obsessed, extreme sports enthusiast bank robbers also date the film. It feel very 2003. Its almost like Jackie Chan set out to adapt an episode of Nash Bridges, and it just did not age well. While New Police Story will certainly entertain, and is largely up to snuff in the action department, it is notably lacking in laughs. While that would be ok on its own, the actors do not have the requisite gravitas to carry the film's dramatic moments. Perhaps this is a failing in the English dubbing. Nevertheless, where as weak voice acting may be passible in comedy, it doesn't hold up here. That said, New Police Story is lightyears better than Chan's American films of the same era. Rated 3/5 Stars • Rated 3 out of 5 stars 02/02/23 Full Review Sameir A New Police Story seems not so very impressive. Jackie Chan tries drama here rather than his usual funny martial arts style. Somewhat good, but, as a total it lacks substance. There are actions and adventures, but, not really thrilling as the other films. Rated 3/5 Stars • Rated 3 out of 5 stars 11/17/21 Full Review Audience Member Nice fight scenes, and good script. But the non standard direction and editing makes the film weak!
