Ingredients
- 1 1/2 ounces Castillo Rum or other White Rum of choice
- 1 ounce Malibu Coconut Rum or other Coconut Rum of choice
- 1 ounce Strawberry Puree
- 2 cups crushed Ice divided use
- 2 ounces fresh pressed Pineapple Juice
- 1 1/2 ounces Coco Lopez Cream of Coconut, Real Cream of Coconut or other Cream of Coconut, of choice (Not Coconut Milk or Coconut Cream. Cream of Coconut is sweetened coconut cream that has the consistency of a thick syrup. It is used in many Tiki and Tropical Drinks like the Pina Colada and the Painkiller.)
- 1 1/2 ounces Sweetened Condensed Milk
- 1 cup crushed Ice
- Pineapple Wedge to garnish
Instructions
Place both rums and strawberry puree in a blender. Add one cup crushed ice. Blend until smooth.
Pour the blended mixture into a pitcher or mixing glass.
Rinse the blender.
Add pineapple juice, cream of coconut and sweetened condensed milk to blender Add one cup crushed ice. Blend until smooth.
Pour the blended mixture into a pitcher or mixing glass.
Set a large glass on the bar. Using both hands pour both mixtures into the glass from opposite sides, so that they are split down the middle. (The strawberry mixture should rise to the top like lava - thus the name. Don't worry if it doesn't - it is still a killer co*cktail.)
Garnish with a pineapple wedge.
Serve immediately.
